Korea does not want Vietnamese students to return to study
From now to September, the Korean Ministry of Education recommends that students in 26 countries with corona virus variants, including Vietnam, have not returned to the country.
The 26 countries on the list include: South Africa, Malawi, Botswana, Mozambique, Eswatini, Zimbabwe, Bangladesh, Brazil, Suriname, Paraguay, Chile, Uruguay, Philippines, India, Indonesia, United Arab Emirates, Uzbekistan , Vietnam, Nepal, Russia, Lebanon, Malaysia, Haiti, Angola, Kuwait and Trinidad, Tobago. To support, the Korean Ministry of Education will allow international students to study online to catch up on face-to-face courses when they return to Korea.
In the case of mandatory early entry, students from the above areas must pay for their own 14-day isolation in temporary care facilities located off the main campus. The Ministry of Education will check the health status of students twice a day.

Education Minister Yoo Eun-hae said that the epidemic situation became serious because of virus variants. "We ask universities and local authorities to coordinate so that the academic activities of the schools can take place stably in the next semester," she said.
According to the Korean Ministry of Education, more than 33,800 international students entered Korea in the first semester, only 18 percent of the same period in 2019. Among them, 255 people tested positive for nCoV, most of which were detected. while in self-isolation, the rest are determined through checks at points of entry.
By August 2, Korea recorded more than 200,000 people infected with nCoV, more than 1,200 cases today alone. Of which, 176,000 people have been discharged from the hospital, more than 2,000 people have died.
About 34.9% of the Korean population has received at least one dose of the vaccine, of which 13.6% are fully vaccinated. It is expected that by the end of September, the vaccination rate in this country will reach 70%.
